Off Platform: video conferencing (Zoom, Teams, etc.)

Getting ready for a Zoom or Microsoft Teams call? Here’s how to bring an interpreter with you:

  1. Copy the Zoom or Microsoft Teams link for your meeting.

  2. Request an interpreter by following the VRI (Video Remote Interpreting) instructions in your Welcome Pack.

  3. Once connected, let the interpreter know you have a meeting and paste the link into the chat box.

💡 Tip: Before the meeting begins, have a quick chat with the interpreter. Let them know what the meeting is about and any context that might help — this makes the interpreting smoother and more effective.
