How do I have face-to-face conversations using Convo?
What does "face-to-face interaction" mean? It's when you're in the same room as a hearing person and you can use the Convo app to instantly connect with an interpreter through your device, without needing to book in advance.
If you want have a chat with someone face-to-face, just follow these easy steps:
Step 1: Just log in to the Convo app and click on "Get an interpreter".

Step 2: You'll join a queue and wait for a video interpreter to come on screen.

Step 3: You will shortly see your assigned interpreter’s first name and number. Click on ‘Join’ to connect immediately, or wait 5 seconds for the auto connection.

Step 4: Be sure your volume is set high enough for the hearing person to hear the interpreter.
Check the volume on your device, ensure your microphone is on, and ask the video interpreter if they can hear the other person. Also, check if the other person can hear the video interpreter through your device.
Try to keep background noise to a minimum, and remember that others in the room might hear what you're saying through the video interpreter.
Step 5: When you're finished, simply end the call.
